Bernard worked with me throughout 2022 to determine the best way forward with our business management & warehousing system. The business has been operating for about 20 years with software developed inhouse in FileMaker (“FM”). However the software only works on an old version of FM and older versions of Apple Macs, and has become difficult to maintain.  The existing software functionality covers all the operational aspects of the business from purchasing through warehousing, order fulfilment, delivery, service and bookkeeping. Accordingly we were looking for a modern, preferably cloud based solution, with either integrated accounting or a two way interfaced to an upgraded accounting solution.  Bernard analysed & guided us to document the current software usage along with potential improvements. “When I first met Bernard, he advised me out of investing in starting a software development in the medical space, by making a lot of practical sense about the market and resources. Later I contacted Bernard about my next  start-up which was software for surgeon’s self-audit. I was and am passionate about this project but I lacked time and software technology experience to manage it.  Bernard took on board and analysed the poorly working prototype. After a thorough search and evaluation of software vendors, we placed it with the most appropriate software company for the job. Bernard Grinberg came onboard with my company Chess for Schools in mid-2021 and has provided unique and valuable mentoring and consulting services to me from day one. Initially Bernard analysed and documented my  workflows, requirements and issues. Then he assembled a  scoping brief for potential software vendors. This led to him performing  a comprehensive search of suitable providers, arranging demos and evaluating their products, technologies and company. Ultimately this resulted in a selection of a well matched, practical and affordable vendor, with ongoing guidance on software usage and management. Bernard also  guided the resolution of our other technical issues  such as analysing email and hosting, providing briefing to tech resources to resolve, and the transfer of IP from failing Indian developers. He  has reviewed and then drafted guidelines of contractor agreements and terms of trade for a retained lawyer that he sourced for me. Bernard Grinberg has assisted our Company, most recently in managing all the activities required to achieve full compliance with fire safety certification of our 5 unit industrial building in Byron Bay. This had been managed by the strata managers on behalf of the owners for over a year without success, even though almost $15,000 had been spent with various trades, and the site equipment remained dis-functional and/or non-compliant. Bernard project managed and co-ordinated all of the activities of the owners, strata managers, planners, Byron Council, architects, drafts people, fire systems specifiers, inspectors, certifiers, plumbers, electricians and builders.  He  reviewed all of the relevant Australian Standards (AS’s) and the National Construction Code (formerly the building Code of Australia) sections, with many of the parties above and negotiated the best outcomes for the owners, including the commissioning  of new, repair of existing and removal of un-necessary and dis-functional equipment. This work was completed with new Fire Safety Statement and Annual Fire Safety Inspection Report documents lodged with Council, allowing us to finalise our developments. Bernard was engaged by www.agtrix.com  as a business mentor and consultant for a period of over 10 years. We benefited from Bernard’s wealth of practical knowledge and experience from growing his own software company to an international success, and eventually acquisition. During this period, Bernard assisted us with strategising and structuring for growth – taking the company from a start-up to a company trusted by TIER ONE corporate customers. On a weekly basis Bernard assisted us to implement processes around business strategy and governance, product offerings and financials to plan and support international expansion advice and associated risk identification. As a part of this Bernard performed numerous contract reviews and negotiations (including drafting contracts, supported us with business development, HR issues, marketing advice and creating opportunities in new markets through his network. A key component of his operational style is mentoring and advising the management and the team on managing major accounts and distributors.  He also chaired monthly  management meeting s, aligning software development to business, and convening the advisory board that was critical to the founder’s successful exit. Bernard also has outstanding technical skills including  IoT hardware specifications and interfacing.
